Our companies consist of Central Machine & Marine, Thurston Machine Co Ltd., GFW Technologies, Insitu Machining and TJ Machine & Tool. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as an HSE Manager / HR Administrator. This dual-role position is critical to ensuring the safety and well-being of our workforce while also managing administrative human resources functions across the organization.
**Job Purpose**:
The HSE Manager / HR Administrator will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs, policies, and procedures, as well as maintaining HR compliance in our comprehensive online platform.
**Major Responsibilities**
**Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management**:
- Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, inspections, and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Provide HSE training programs for employees and promote a safety-conscious work environment.
- Collaborate with management to continuously improve safety performance and reduce workplace incidents.
- Maintain client compliance systems such as ISNetworld, Avetta etc
- Participate in all JHSA committees
**Human Resource Administration**:
- Manage HR records as per our software requirements.
- Ensure compliance with the labour laws and regulations, updating policies and procedures as needed.
- Coordinate and conduct and/or administer employee training, as required.
- Work with line Managers to support any recruitment as required.
Travel to other facilities will be required on a monthly basis or as scheduled with the Management team.
**Skills Required**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Human Resources or related field. Or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in HSE management and human resources administration within a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Knowledge of local HSE regulations and HR best practices.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with the BIS Safety software an asset
**Salary Range**:
- $70 - 85k
- Bonus program

**Schedule**
- 8-hour shift/10-hour shift.
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime as required.
**Salary**: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
