**Role Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Manager of the Project Management Office (PMO), the Project Management Training Specialist will lead the implementation of training, and change management, to support process improvements and proper use of tools. You will have a direct impact on tool and process development. The training curricula you develop and deliver will be performance based, where attendees will demonstrate that required skills or knowledge transfer has taken place. The long-term goal is to increase the project management maturity across the Construction and Maintenance Division.

Your objective is to gather input from project managers across the province in order to plan and deliver training, on the tools, and procedures required to help them deliver their projects in a consistent manner and that that reflects TEC best practices. A key component to the success of this position will be the ability to influence change and maintain a strong client focus.

Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

- Developing a Project Management learning framework, strategically assessing, and planning for the needs of the division's project management community, both current and long term.
- Developing and maintaining a project manager centric training program to ensure a suite of relevant, quality courses are delivered to meet both individual and department performance requirements.
- Leading the development of a communication strategy for the PMO to assist in building productive relationships with project sponsors, project managers, and executives.
- Assisting the PMO's Engineer Project Process Specialist in the review of processes utilized by project managers, to identify training opportunities to address inefficiencies.
- Establishing sustainable process review cycles, supporting training needs, and facilitating process reviews in alignment with operational excellence or Lean Six Sigma principles.
- Supporting the PMO's Engineer Project Process Specialist, establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the PMO.

To be successful in this position, you will demonstrate:

- The ability to work with diverse internal stakeholders with varying approaches, expertise, and interests in leading improvements to how individual projects are managed from conception to closing.
- Strong interpersonal skills by building relationships and trust with other internal divisions, in order to create synergies between all functional areas involved during the lifecycle of projects.
- The ability to market the value of change to longstanding practices by individual project managers, where either; benefits may not be immediately apparent or there is no appetite to change.
