- A Day in the Life
- Develop detailed design drawings and specifications using AutoCAD or Inventor
- Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, layout, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems
- Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
- Position instructions and comments onto drawings
- Modify and revise designs to correct deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
- Layout and draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components and assemblies.
- Maintain organization within the existing drawing database
- Material quantifying as required for purchasing of said materials
- Develop fabrication drawings for the purpose of assisting shop employees to fabricate the parts for the project
- Other duties as required
- What we are seeking:

- 3-5 years drafting work experience in a similar industry or graduate of an architectural technology college program
- Shop Fabrication experience an asset
- ICI District with generic metal siding, metal roofing, and architectural wall panel experience
- Experience in AP an asset
- Strong PC skills in AutoCAD and MS Office
- Strong mathematical skills an asset
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Must be organized and self-motivated
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- An eagerness to learn and overcome challenges
