JOB PURPOSE
The Organisation Development & People Analytics team (ODPA), is a global specialist team within the HR Expertise & Innovation (E&I) group.
The Organisation Development & People Analytics (ODPA) team is fascinated by people data and what it can tell us about how to improve the health and effectiveness of the organisation and thereby enhance both the employee experience and business outcomes.
We are managing a multi-year journey to transform our management of People Data, with the goal that HR, Finance and Business users:
- Count the people analytics- love the intelligent people-data products- use them every day to make fast and primary choices that deliver a performance edge
The E&I Reporting Manager is a key new senior manager position, introduced to take ownership of providing the future landscape of value-added people insights reporting.
A new Data Lake for People Data is under development and will soon become the de facto platform from which we will take our feeds to develop our future reporting solutions and dashboards. This provides an exciting opportunity for us to rethink our people insights requirements and our reporting/ dashboard solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Coordinating the gathering and prioritisation of requirements for reporting solutions (and confirmingthe delivery method)- Developing the People Data reporting standards & vision (beyond the E&I system-specific operational reports)- Managing and coordinating the development of the dashboards and reporting tools to build a clear view of organisational health and effectiveness- Mobilising and managing teams across E&I - and where relevant other HR teams - to gather data for external reports which Unilever participates in such as Workforce Disclosure Initiative (WDI)- Mobilising and managing a People Data reporting Community of Practice - a network of reporting tool developers which will include Organisation Effectiveness & data Managers, experienced HRBPs, members of the People Analytics team - to channel collective efforts towards a joint vision and coherent reporting suite- Taking proactive steps to engage and communicate with the end-users of the reporting suite to ensure high take-up and value delivery.- Partnering with the People Experience team (who own a significant component of operational reporting tools - including for Workday and other core HR systems)- Working with the other members of the People Data Strategy delivery team to ensure close alignment, visibility of progress and joint resolution of issues- Proactively build capability in people data reporting and usage of the reporting suite across HR

Technical Skills- Experience with SQL. Desirable experience of connecting to databases on Azure platform- Demonstrable experience in building PowerBI dashboards- Highly self-assuredin building robust reporting in MS Excel- Desirable but not essential exposure to VBA- An understanding of best practices in data visualisation and design- Desirable experience in using Workday for reporting purposes.
Required qualifications include- Have a fascination for large amounts of complex data and experience in developing robust reporting tools and dashboards for deployment at scale- Be curious, comfortable with ambiguity, and have a desire to experiment - demonstrated through an understanding of future reporting trends from external reading and research- Strong communication and influencing skills - able to convene, guide and influence members of a global community of practice involved in developing and deploying reporting solutions, and senior stakeholders at various levels in our organisation- Effective in training and coaching others in key tools, processes, and concepts- Highly planful and self-starting - assured in shaping a vision with input from a range of stakeholders, and a program plan to deliver against that vision- Strong team player - collaborating effectively across HR expertise disciplines, Community of Practice members, PDS program team and end-user communities (comfortable working with people across multiple countries)-
- Good business / financial acumen - a keen eye for where the value will come from with respect to reporting solutions- Able to collaborate with and communicate findings clearly to both HR and non-HR audiences- Familiarity with Agile methods of product development.
Reporting Line- The role will report directly to the Director for Organisation Development and Workforce Planning & data.
