Hybrid 90-95k Plus full Benefits and matching RRSP Downtown Toronto and Satelite offices Access to a vehicle as you will visit different units. looking after Units that change lives provideing housing and homeless support.
**90-95K This position provides Managerial human resources and health union expertise and guidance **for the Units and provides recommendations on recruitment and retention, salary administration, job evaluation, performance management, sensitive employee relations matters, leaves and disability management situations, and workplace wellness, health and safety. This position supports the delivery of human resources programs, services, and initiatives.
**Accountabilities**:
2. Union Negotiation Essential experience
- Support Employee Grievance investigations
- Be involved in Union Collective agreements sand Negotiations
**3. **Human Relations:
- Remain current with relevant legislation and advising MU managers of significant changes
- Provide consultation and expertise to MU leaders on employee/labour relations and discipline
- Case manage critical issues at the delegation of supervisor
- Work with leaders on the day-to-day HR work around performance management, PEAC, promotions, compensation, terminations, departures
- Participate in investigations as assigned
- Research issues as required by the HR Director
- May conduct fact finding into complaints/abuse allegations as directed from the Territory Abuse Advisor or The Healthy Workplace team
HR Processes, Documentation and Data Integrity
- Process and maintain HRIS for MU
- Create and implement effective human resources practices and processes within MU and, as necessary the division
- Provide guidance and support to MU contacts with group insurance, group RRSP and HRIS
- Support HR Operations and MU with HRIS data audits to ensure HRIS data integrity
5. Communication and Training:
- In collaboration with the HR Director, develop and implement training strategies for the Units
- Participate in development, implementation, and facilitation of training initiatives, providing tools and materials to units to facilitate training initiatives, in collaboration with territorial staff
- Provide training materials and tools to the Units
6. Health & Safety
- Collaboratively create, revise The health & safety policy and procedures
- Collaboratively create, maintain and revise a health & safety strategy for The Villages
- Act as the management co-chair of the joint health & safety committee
