Ophthalmology Clinic

The Role:
As an integral part of the team, your role will be lo prepare patients to see the ophthalmologist (taking history, performing visual acuity, pupil exam, eye movements assessment and intraocular pressure), perform required testing and occasional medical office assistant (MOA) duties as required.

**Skills**:

- Efficient with time and able to multitask in a busy environment
- Must be highly proficient in spoken and written English
- Knowledge of EMR or excellent computer skills
- Team oriented, quick learner, flexible, professional
- Organized with great attention to detail
- Prior experience in Ophthalmology an asset

**Responsibilities**:

- Documenting patient plans and diagnoses
- Performing diagnostic testing including: Visual Field, OCT, IOL Master, photography
- Taking patient history
- Checking visual acuity and intraocular pressures using a tono-pen.
- Maintaining stock in the examination rooms and keeping exam rooms clean and orderly
- Administering drops
- Answering phones, booking and scheduling appointments for patients.

Salary will be competitive and will be based on experience and level of training/education.

**Salary**: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
