We are an Ophthalmology practice located in Surrey, BC and White Rock, BC. Our physician is a cataract, pterygium, and eyelid surgeon, but sees all types of general types of eye disorders.

**Job description**

This role will be located primarily in in our Surrey office, with some work in Whiterock as needed.

**Requirements for the position**
- Fluency in English (speaking and writing). Punjabi considered an asset but not required
- Over 6+ months of experience as an ophthalmic technician experience
- Ideally a minimum of 6 months EMR experience. Experience with Accuro is an asset
- Must be computer literate and able to operate a normal range of office equipment (telephone, fax, computer and photocopier).

**Key responsibilities**:

- Providing competent administration of auto-refractions, OCT, colour fundus photography, corneal topography, intraocular lens measurements, and visual field testing (after on the job training).
- Checking visual acuity
- Checking intraocular pressure using a tonopen or i-care.
- Must be comfortable administering eye drops as directed.
- Keeping exam and procedure rooms tidy and stocked with eye drops and other ophthalmic supplies.
- Use of autoclave to sterilize instruments following Fraser Health guidelines.
