**Description**

Work must be done from within Canada, due to network and data security issues. Resource will work remotely, though must be available for onsite meetings when required. Onsite meetings include but are not limited to quarterly unit meetings. Actual onsite attendance may be negotiable, particularly if resource lives outside Alberta. Work must be done from within Canada, due to network and data security issues. Travel to attend onsite meetings, nor any expenses related to relocation, commuting, housing/accommodation, food/drink will NOT be reimbursed.

**Experience Required/Mandatory Skills**
- Extensive experience in the Data Governance discipline. (5+ years)
- Experience preparing and implementing government-wide strategies and/or mandates on data transformation initiatives. (5+ years)
- Experience working on agile software development and modern, service design based product delivery comparable in size and complexity for a large organization such as state, provincial, or federal government or a private company with 5,000 or more employees or for a startup or small business addressing a complex challenge at scale. (5+ years)
- Experience leading large enterprise-scale projects and programs. (5+ years)
- Experience leading and providing consultation and support to clients at all levels of an organization. (5+ years)
- Experience in the development and implementation of data platforms, governance standards, processes, and mechanisms to enable organizations to manage information through its entire lifecycle. (5+ years)
- Proposed resource must have own computer equipment and be comfortable using it for completion of work required by this contract.
- Proposed resource must work from within Canada, due to network and data security issues.

- DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
- Product Owner certification - CSPO or PSPO.
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- TOGAF 9 Professional Certification

- Experience with data marts, data warehousing, BI tools, etc. (3+ years)
- Experience with relational databases and knowledge of SQL (3+ years)
- Experience with data modelling concepts and tools (5+ years)
- Experience with data management tools (e.g. data governance tools, BI, analytics, big data, data visualization, etc.) (5+ years)
- Experience conducting, facilitating and interpreting impact and risk assessments across multiple alternatives (5+ years)
- Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis of costs and benefits (5+ years)
- Experience in the development of information management or related types of policies, standards and practices (3+ years)
- Experience developing all of the following: service blueprints, journey maps, prototype designs, business plans, program plans, strategic plans, tactical plans, operational plans, communication plans and road-maps. (5+ years)
- Experience with Information Governance, or records management and information management. (5+ years)
- Experience in the analysis, development, and integration of complex IT systems with a specific focus on the management of multiple data sources, web services, and legacy IT solutions. (5+ years)
- Senior leadership experience managing a portfolio of concurrent projects or initiatives staffed with a team of at least 10 people. (5+ years)
- Experience in the analysis, development, and integration of complex IT systems. (5+ years)
- Experience using analytical and problem-solving skills to plan and design creative solutions. (5+ years)
- Experience in the development of business cases for a wide variety of initiatives and projects (strategic, business improvement, information technology, etc.). (5+ years)

**Location**
- Edmonton/Hybrid

**Work Environment**
- 1 year with 2 possible 1-year extensions

**Hourly Rate**
- Negotiable
