**What you’ll do**

The Supply Chain Projects team delivers on strategic initiatives across all banners within the Canadian Tire Supply Chain, providing our stakeholders with innovative supply chain solutions that enable retail growth. We are looking for experienced a Sr. Project Manager to join our team and help deliver complex projects.

This position functionally reports to the Associate Vice President of Supply Chain Projects; however, the day-to-day work would be directed by the Program Manager. The role is required to be on site, primarily full time, at one of our locations within the GTA. Travel to other Canadian sites will be required as needed.
- Accountable for delivering one of the key project initiatives within the Supply Chain Projects Portfolio by using industry standard project management best practices and proven leadership capabilities.
- Develop a project charter and obtain Sponsor, Program Manager and stakeholder alignment
- Organize and plan the work deliverables / outcomes needed to achieve the project objectives
- Develop and maintain a project schedule to manage all milestones and key activities (physical installations, commissioning of systems and equipment, system, and process testing, etc.) as well as physically checking and actioning deliverables on the critical path, ensuring risks are identified, issues are resolved, and deliverables are completed on time.
- Use standard risk mitigation techniques such as FMEA to identify and solve issues and risks.
- Set appropriate process controls and manage resource requirements and budget estimations.
- Create processes and plans to ensure all safety and security protocols are followed.
- Create a communication process and plan that enables open dialogue and integration with all Project Managers, Project Leads, Canadian Tire Partners, and suppliers/ vendors providing them with what they need to move forward.
- Work closely with the Program Manager to provide support and ensure all priorities are being managed
- Consult and provide direction to ensure Project Managers, Project Leads, Canadian Tire Partners, and suppliers/ vendors are aligned to executive decisions that have been made

- Experienced and skilled in all aspects of managing large, complex projects.
- Has a willingness, desire and enjoys getting involved at a hands-on level with a multitude of activity and resources
- Skilled communicator (verbal and written) and a proven collaborator with strong influencing skills with the ability to make lasting relationships quickly to move initiatives forward
- Seasoned consulting and facilitation skills to understand risks and issues and provide recommendations
- Creative and courageous, with the ability to manage in a very fast environment of change and ambiguity
- Action oriented, and strong sense of urgency; comfortable taking calculated risks to better serve our customers and business
- Outcome focused, critical thinker with the ability to analyze and visualize, to ensure continuous improvement across our entire business
- A fast, continuous, and inspired Learner

**What you bring**
- 10 + years in a leadership position leading and managing strategic and complex initiatives, with significant people, process, and technology impacts
- 10 + years leading and developing people, advance level of communication, collaboration, designing and executing integrated strategies and plans
- Solid experience in managing and coordinating on-site activities of new builds (i.e.: new Distribution Centre) to ensure a successful implementation
- Formal Project Management education and/or Professional designation from PMI
- Demonstrated ability to deliver successful programs and projects within a dynamic enterprise.
- Proven experience presenting and workshopping strategies, plans and solutions with Senior Executives
- Logical and results oriented with strong business acumen and analytical skills.
- Critical thinking skills with the desire and ability to challenge the status quo.
- Management level competencies in collaboration, communication, team building, stakeholder engagement and analytics.
- Ability to retrieve information from multiple sources and work with large amounts of data.
- University degree in related field is an asset
- Engineering education and or experience is an asset
