The **Assistant Supply Chain Coordinator **will be responsible for putting customer orders into production and seeing the process through to finished products in the supply chain. Thereby overseeing material purchasing, logistics, production planning, office management, and assisting senior management as required.
- **Key Responsibilities & Day-to-Day Activities**_
- Providing direct support to Supply Chain and Purchasing teams, and actively participating in regular ingredient
- and inventory-related meetings
- Generating purchase orders and purchase agreements
- Monitoring/tracking open orders, and coordinating transportation
- Communicating with customs brokers to ensure that shipments are cleared in a timely manner
- Validating supplier invoices and shipping documents
- Running daily procurement/supply chain reports, and reconciling any discrepancies.
- **Hiring Criteria**_
- Four-years’ experience in customer service, purchasing, sales or supply chain—some of it, preferably in a management or supervisory role
- Proficiency with supply chain logistics, manufacturing, and/or project management
- Organizational expertise with planning and prioritizing tasks
- Detail-oriented cast-of-mind, e.g., someone who is a ‘stickler for accuracy’
- Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills
- Strict adherence to timelines
- Experience with MRP/ERP system is considered an asset.
