A Little About Us
At ISL, we share an enthusiasm for community infrastructure. Our technical expertise encompasses transportation, land use planning, civil engineering, municipal, landscape architecture, buildings, environmental management, water, structural, community engagement, geomatics, construction services and 3D visualization. Just the right size, ISL delivers complex projects while being small enough to maintain strong, cohesive project teams and personal client attention and service.

ISL’s Water Team is made up of 25 individuals who have close working relationships centered around water, wastewater, and stormwater, and utility infrastructure projects. We have expertise in water and wastewater treatment, pumping stations and reservoirs, linear infrastructure for collection and distribution and of course water system planning.

ISL’s Water Team works to deliver excellent projects and services for our clients across BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan in a highly collaborative environment. We work on municipal water and wastewater projects that can have varied scope and complexity. Our client base is both internal (support for other disciplines) and external (municipalities). - Interesting work - You can expect to be involved in a variety of multi-disciplinary and challenging projects. From small pump stations and lift stations to more complex mechanically based treatment systems for water and wastewater treatment as well as civil/linear infrastructure projects that would include new installations and rehabilitation.
- Alternative project delivery models - We don’t just do conventional design-bid-build projects. We also do projects using highly collaborative delivery models such as Integrated Project Delivery (IPD). We are one of the leaders in Canada on IPD projects in the municipal engineering industry.

**Your resume should show us**:

- 4+ years of progressive experience in construction administration and construction (consulting or contractor)
- Degree or diploma program in engineering or construction engineering technology from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Any design, construction administration and/or field experience, preferably related to municipal systems, including projects for water, wastewater, stormwater, pumping and treatment systems as well as deep utilities.
- Familiarity with construction administration design tools, Bluebeam (PDF) and any digital collaboration platforms/processes that you know such as BIM and Autodesk Construction Cloud or other proprietary systems.
- Familiarity with construction safety codes/standards.
- Experience with:

- estimating and the various types of estimating tools that you may have used.
- assembling construction documents for tender and construction purposes.
- coordinating, conducting, documenting, and reporting on detailed field inspections.
- writing, preparing, or using construction specifications
- various project delivery models that are typically in use in the industry today whether they are conventional or alternative.
- working for/or with consulting engineering firms
