Key Responsibilities:

- Greet guests and present menus, explaining specials and making recommendations as needed
- Take food and drink orders and enter them into the POS system accurately
- Deliver food and drinks to tables in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure that guests have everything they need during their meal, such as extra napkins, utensils, or condiments
- Check on guests regularly to ensure that they are enjoying their meal and address any concerns or issues promptly
- Process guest payments and ensure that all transactions are accurate and accounted for
- Assist with bussing tables and resetting them for new guests as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized dining room, following all health and safety regulations and company policies
- Assist with opening and closing duties, such as setting up and breaking down the dining room, and cleaning and restocking supplies
- Participate in training and development activities, and continuously improve their knowledge of menu items, specials, and promotions
- Perform other duties as assigned by the restaurant Supervisor

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.20 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Halifax, NS B3J 1V8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Bartending: 1 year (preferred)
- serving: 1 year (required)
