The Centre for Education at Baycrest has an opportunity for an

**INTERPROFESSIONAL EDUCATOR**

**TEMPORARY FULL-TIME**

**(approx. 12 months, renewable contract)**

**70 hours bi-weekly | Non - Union | Days Shift**

Reporting to the Manager, Simulation & Virtual Learning, the Interprofessional Educator will develop, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate new and existing interprofessional training and education activities within the Centre for Education and Knowledge Exchange in Aging and develop and deliver innovative interprofessional clinical training programs to internal and external partners. Experiential education approaches are used to foster curiosity, discovery, critical thinking, reflection, communication and problem solving for team-based approaches to care.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Planning, implementing, and evaluating assigned projects and programs for scale and reach,
- Participation in the research, evaluation, and innovation activities of the Centre for Education
- Gathering and using targeted key performance indicators and quantitative and qualitative feedback on programs to improve implementation effectiveness
- Collaboratively consulting with internal and external partners to assess interprofessional learning needs, using a team-based approach to program coordination
- Developing tools, resources, activities and/or programs to meet identified learning needs and support clinical practice change,
- Co-designing educational products with various partners, ensuring the integration of clinical best practices with innovative, evidence-based educational methods and techniques
- Delivering in-person and virtual education programming to internal and external partners
- Employing educational method and techniques to develop knowledge, skills, and attitudes for care excellence in interprofessional learners
- Developing strategies and using technology to scale and spread programs and products
- Communicating with diverse learners and tailoring messaging for different audiences
- Providing specialized consultation to internal partners and external organization to support the adoption of best and next practices in geriatrics, brain health, dementia care, and clinical education
- Ensuring practices and processes are in accordance with legislative, regulatory and professional standards/requirements.
- Some travel may be required.

**Qualifications include but are not limited to**:

- Regulated health care professional with demonstrated clinical experience in gerontology, brain health, and/or dementia care
- Graduate degree (preferred) and/or substantial training and education experience
- Three years' experience as a health care educator
- Demonstrated experience in experiential education, simulation, e-learning, arts-based learning, game-based learning, and/or team-based learning
- Proficiency in educational technologies and virtual learning, with demonstrated ability to develop, deliver, and evaluate training
- Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum design, instructional design, and program evaluation
- Strong coaching, debriefing, and presentation skills with individuals and teams
- Superior interprofessional, communication, and leadership skills
- Strong analytical, consensus-building, solution-finding, and innovation skills
- Experience working with regulated and unregulated care providers, students, families, volunteers, and clinical leaders
- Master's degree in a field relevant to aging, brain health, or education is an asset
- Completion of a post-secondary certificate in knowledge mobilization, implementation science, health professions education is an asset
- Customer-focused in defining quality and establishing priorities
- Able to work proactively with a range of professional disciplines and levels of staff within and outside the organization
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment while flexibly managing multiple competing priorities
