Toronto, Canada Organic Garage Full time

The Merchandising Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the organization’s sales goals are maximized through effective and strategic product placement while ensuring appropriate levels of stock are maintained at all times.

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Interacting with different store locations
- Planning and organizing grocery planograms using Microsoft Excel (Regular sets, Seasonal Merchandiser, Flyer Merchandising, Special Displays, Produce Endcap/Wood Crate Program etc)
- Building new planograms
- Managing new and deleted items into the planograms and sending out appropriate updates to the stores for execution.
- Ensure proper level of stock for merchandising requirements is maintained at all times through effective communication of required min/max quantities to purchasing department
- Ensure merchandise is displayed appropriately and strategically with proper signage and shelf placement according to company standards
- Build and maintain product displays in compliance with company guidelines
- Assemble fixtures as required
- Complete all assigned merchandising functions accurately and within set timeframe
- Assist with new store setups and planograms
- Execute store visits to ensure planograms and merchandising is being adhered to
- Attending tradeshows as necessary (CHFA, road shows); These may be on weekends
- Ensure the strict confidentiality and privacy of data records as they relate to the organization and its customers
- Other duties as assigned

**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**:

- College or university required, preferably in a computer or business course
- **Travel is required (vehicle is necessary)**
- Intermediate to Advance skills in Word, Teams, Excel, and Outlook
- **1-3 years experience in the grocery industry**
- Able to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
- Attention to detail in all areas of work
- Good organizational, time management, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Professional demeanor under stressful situations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
