**Digital Marketing & Communications Specialist**:
**Primary Purpose**: The Digital Marketing & Communication Specialist will provide marketing and communications support through the development and execution of innovative, effective, and reliable digital communications strategies to support the college’s goals and strategic priorities. The Digital Communication Specialist engages with both internal audiences and external stakeholders to build and maintain a positive reputation for the college.

**Nature of Work**: This position reports to the Dean of the College of Nursing, with oversight by the Senior Marketing and Communications Specialist. The College of Nursing is the largest non-departmentalized college at the University of Saskatchewan and has campuses across the province. Occasional travel to nursing sites across the province will be required. It is critical that digital marketing and communications strategies reflect the provincial nature of the college.

The Digital Marketing & Communications Specialist must exercise considerable judgment, discretionary decision-making, and build collaborative internal relationships with leadership, faculty, staff, students, and alumni, as well as external relationships with donors, suppliers, and media. The work requires a proactive and strategic approach in a complex environment, as well as the ability to communicate effectively to reach a diverse audience. The focus of the position is primarily on the digital space having oversight and responsibility for digital content on several social media channels, the College of Nursing website, and other digital materials.

**Typical Duties or Accountabilities**:

- Ability to write effectively for a variety of audiences in a web-based environment. Uses storytelling to celebrate successes and promote a positive college culture.
- Demonstrated skills in sourcing, creating, and optimizing appropriate and engaging content across digital platforms.
- Develop and execute content that supports the college’s social media strategy.
- Provide support in managing the college’s website.
- Gives innovative, effective, and reliable digital marketing advice and expertise to support the success of college initiatives and outcomes.
- Manages digital marketing and communications projects from initial meetings to delivery of final product.
- Ability to analyze performance of digital channels and initiatives using online and social media management, monitoring, and measuring tools.

**Education**: An undergraduate degree in communications, marketing, or related field. An equivalent level of education and experience will be considered.

**Experience**: A minimum of three years of directly related experience is preferred. Knowledge of the University of Saskatchewan, the academic environment and/or the discipline of nursing or health sciences would be an asset.

**Skills**:

- Effective interpersonal communications, with the capacity to build consensus and maintain positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders while exercising diplomacy, judgment, tact, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.
- Demonstrated strong organizational skills, including effective planning and management of multiple projects, and the ability to adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to utilize Hootsuite and Canva.
- Ability to utilize Cascade would be an asset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrated self-motivation and reliability.
- Ability to problem solve, think, and act strategically and creatively.
- Photography and videography skills.

**Salary**: The salary range, based on 1.0 FTE, is $49,301.00 - 77,033.00 per annum. The starting salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
