**Position Overview**: As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting operations. You will play a key role in providing strategic financial guidance to senior management and ownership, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and optimizing financial processes to support the company's growth objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage and assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Develop and maintain financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with department heads to develop realistic financial plans aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and other accounting functions to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Analyze financial data and key performance indicators to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, providing actionable insights to drive decision-making.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies to facilitate audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks and enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead and mentor a team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Inter-company accounting.
- Month-end/Year-end preparations.
- Assist in day to day accounting basics.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
- 10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with 10 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Strong technical expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with ERP acquisition and integration is an asset
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively.
- Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and driving results under tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
- Previous company amalgamation experience is an asset

**This role** is based in the office and operates from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
