Maintenance Technician

**Responsibilities**:

- To assist with preventive maintenance including completing the Guest Room checklist, and repair orders such as replacing and repairing equipment that is out of order.
- Inspect each guest suite at regular intervals for any repairs required and complete the same within a set time period as assigned by the Housekeeping manager.
- To monitor and respond to any emergencies according to emergency Plan and Procedures.
- Responsible for the general maintenance and repair of all mechanical, electrical and HVAC equipment including pumps, motors, fans, etc.
- Responsible for the general maintenance and repair of plumbing, fixtures, doors, windows, and their hardware, floor and ceiling, light fixtures, room fixtures, walls and painting walls.
- Responsible for the storage, safekeeping handling of all tools, equipment and related parts and supplies.
- To bring to the attention of the Department head the status of equipment and the need for supplies and replacement parts.
- Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program
- Liaise with contractors; responsible for contacting, coordinating, assisting, signing work orders, checking that the building is secure when on site and leaving premises, reporting all contractors work status to the manager.
- Maintain pre-established record of preventative maintenance performance.
- Address and respond to guest service needs, including guest calls in a professional, positive and timely manner.
- Establishes and maintains good team relationships, as well as interdepartmental relations, by assisting members of the team to ensure the needs of our guests are met.
- All other duties as assigned by management.

**Qualifications**:

- 2 years previous maintenance experience in a fast paced hotel environment
- Exceptional communication skills and command of English language
- Communicate in a professional manner at all times
- Must be able to work flexible hours

Pay: $25.42 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Holidays
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Maintenance: 2 years (preferred)
