**OVERVIEW**: Reporting to the President the Vice President Operations will oversee and manage all aspects of day-to-day operations, including production, supply chain, logistics and quality control. They will monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. This role involves strategic planning, coordination, and optimization of all activities related to the sources, procurement, production, logistics and distribution of good and services.
This role requires steering the operational strategies and efficiencies within our organization. The Vice President of Operation is a strategic thinker, has strong leadership skills, and can collaborate effectively across various departments while overseeing 4 departments, supply, warehouse, product development and technical services.
The Vice President Operations works to mobilize his team, value the individuals, and ensure their development.
**RESPONSIBILITIES***:Strategic Planning**
- Develop and implement strategies and processes related to the company’s operation and also to optimize the supply chain function, aligning it with overall business objectives.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction throughout the supply chain process.
- Engaging with external partners, suppliers, and industry leaders to enhance business opportunities.
**Process Improvement**
- Identify opportunities for streamlining operations, reducing costs, and improving efficiency through process optimization and automation.
**Supply Chain Management**
- Oversee the procurement, transportation, warehousing, and distribution of goods and materials.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality of products.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
**Operational Efficiency**
- Streamline processes and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Implement best practices and innovative technologies to enhance supply chain operations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
**Team Leadership**
- Provide leadership and guidance to his team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Recruit, train, and develop talent within the supply chain organization to ensure a high-performing team.
**Risk Management**
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to the supply chain.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards in supply chain operations.
**Stakeholder Engagement**
- Collaborate with other departments such as finance, sales, and marketing to ensure alignment of operational activities with overall business objectives.
- Communicate regularly with senior management to provide updates on supply chain performance and strategic initiatives.
**Budget and labour planning**
- Prepare annually, estimated salary budget and benefits for all permanent employees.
- Analyse and plan labour costs and make recommendations to higher management.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, logistics or a related field; master’s degree would be an asset.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in in a similar role, including management.
- Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role, with a track record of driving organizational success.
- Proven experience in S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) and supply chain management, with a track record of success in optimizing processes and driving operational efficiency.
- Must have experience leading various aspects throughout the supply chain. Be highly “process-driven” and understand general best practices in similar environments and have worked in a diverse, high-SKU product environment.
- Familiarity with supply chain technologies and tools, such as ERP systems, demand planning software, and data analytics platforms.
- Proven experience with importation and contract manufacturing would be an asset.
