**Position Overview**: The Scattered Site Housing Program provides homes for young individuals aged 16 to 24 to foster independent living. Reporting to the Manager of Phoenix Scattered Site Housing, the Tenant Support Worker serves as a consistent, positive role model, demonstrating independent living and healthy lifestyle habits while residing on-site. The Tenant Support Worker will live in their own apartment and primarily provide support during after-hours and weekends, offering crisis support, helping to resolve any conflicts that may arise, and managing noise levels and crowd dynamics as needed. This position is part of the Phoenix Scattered Site Housing Team.

**Program Overview**: The Phoenix Scattered Site Housing program consists of five properties ranging from single family, shared housing and multi-unit buildings. The program can support up to 27 youth aged 16-24 with a focus on independent long-term transitional support. Youth in the program are supported by Phoenix’s wrap-around services through multiple programs based on their unique needs. The program is located in the North End of Halifax.

**Compensation**:$43,000 annual salary, comprehensive group medical insurance plan, Employee and Family Assistance Program, 3% Employer paid RRSP contribution, 3 weeks of vacation in the first year and 4 weeks of vacation in the second year, generous sick leave, a generous paid holiday schedule, in-house trainings, and professional development opportunities. It also includes free rent and utilities in a single occupancy 2-bedroom, 1 Bathroom fully furnished unit in Northend Halifax, with onsite parking.

**Reports to**: Manager, Phoenix Scattered Site Housing Program

**Hours of Work**: 40 hours per week, typically **Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays: 5 PM - 9 PM**, **Saturdays: 10 AM - 2 PM** and **Sundays: 1 PM - 5 PM**. Plus an additional 20 hours a week as negotiated with the Scattered Housing Site Manager.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensure the program is congruent with Phoenix’s vision and values.
- Work in accordance with Phoenix’s policies, procedures, and framework of practice.
- Serve as a role model for youth in the program by demonstrating independent living skills, life skills, and healthy living habits.
- Respond to after hour youth needs as warranted.
- Respond appropriately and professional to any emergencies
- Perform minor maintenance tasks and inform appropriate individuals for significant maintenance issues.
- Ensure safety and cleanliness of corridors and public areas of the building as needed between cleaning schedules.
- Report any facility and youth concerns in a timely manner to Program Manager or Housing Support Coordinator.
- Attend weekly staff meetings.
- Contribute to a sense of community in the program.
- Participate in professional development opportunities.
- Commit to the development of the organization and participate in internal committees, projects, and activities.
