Exeter, Canada HENSALL CO-OPERATIVE Full time

We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our Hensall Food’s team as a Quality Assurance Technician. The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for maintaining and monitoring food safety and quality programs for the Hensall Foods ready meals plant.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

- Maintain and update HACCP plans and quality system documentation.
- Conduct premises inspections and participate in internal and external audit processes.
- Assist with investigating food safety and quality incidents and implementing corrective measures.
- Provide quality training sessions for new and current employees.
- Work with production team to ensure overall quality of finished product prior to shipment to customer.
- Maintain environmental monitoring program including collection, preparation and sending swabs for testing.
- Inspect incoming ingredients and perform equipment calibration.
- All other duties as assigned, including working in the production plant as required.

Job Requirements:

- Understand and follow all Health & Safety and plant GMP policies and procedures.
- Must be able to work in various environments including office, warehouse, production area, cooler and freezer storage areas.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Good organizational, time management and customer service skills
- Highly motivated individual capable of working under mínimal supervision.

Required Qualifications:

- Post-secondary education in Food Sciences or similar program
- HACCP certification considered an asset
