**Summary**:
The Corporate Responsibility & Environment team aims at minimizing risk and creating business value by managing environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues. This role is within the governance team responsible to ensure legal compliance, reduce business risks, set internal standards and targets, measure and report our performance, work with business units to reduce our environmental footprint and maintain our ISO 14001 and 50001 certifications.

**Key Responsibilities**:
The incumbent will be part of a multidisciplinary team and will perform the following duties:

- Oversee the management of the biodiversity and ecosystem interference program, and air emission program; waste water (manhole), and treated wood pole programs (storage, installations, recycling and disposal)
- Keep abreast of municipal, provincial and federal regulations, update program guidelines, frameworks and procedures accordingly and ensure compliance with all operations across the network. Ensure the preparedness and monitoring of the annual environmental action plan related to programs and issues under the incumbent’s responsibility. The incumbent will also support internal and external audits of programs under their responsibility
- Compile, update and analyze programs’ performance indicator data and participate in the preparation of Bell’s integrated annual report and performance reports for executive committees and board of directors.
- Drive efficiency of environmental practices by identifying opportunities to improve processes across the network. Help maintain ISO 14001 certification for the management system, including gap analysis, compliance reviews and the monitoring of corrective actions
- Coordinate the execution of corporate events related to biodiversity protection

**Critical Qualifications**:

- University degree in a field relevant to the position together with graduate-level education in a related field or a master’s degree in environmental science
- Spoken and written fluency in English and French
- Practical knowledge of Canada’s environmental legal framework (federal, provincial and municipal), including an understanding of standards and regulations related to programs under his/her responsibility
- Experience with ISO 14001:2015 frameworks

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Good understanding of Bell’s corporate responsibility issues
- Familiarity with TNFD and SBTN
- Experience in telecommunications
- Experience in the areas of environmental impacts, biodiversity protection and environmental compliance
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in the performance of tasks
- Ability to work autonomously and collaborate with peers
- Ability to analyze data
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
