**Primary Responsibilities**

This role is a great opportunity to work on transportation industry leading projects throughout Canada, and collaborate with highly talented Project Controls professionals and help build a team of project controls practitioners.

In this role of Project Controls Manager, we'll count on you to:

- Develop and maintain project schedules including baselines
- Develop and maintain project cost information, including budgets, commitments, expenditure, forecast and explain variances
- Provide in-depth analysis of project schedules, review delay claims for time entitlement and assist in resolution of project disputes
- Perform quality control review of project controls reports and verify timely execution
- Manage, mentor and guide project controls professionals to motivate them and ensure they have the understanding and required resources to meet the objectives in a timely manner
- Conduct and run project controls meetings with the project team
- Review accuracy of progress measurement and earned value reporting
- Partner with designers, contractors, inspectors and other third-party entities to proactively identify, communicate and resolve scope and pricing variances
- Establish a procedural framework for preparing, reporting and reconciling variances, including developing and/or enhancing reporting procedures and tools
- Manage and enforce adherence to project controls practices and procedures
- Proactively seek collaboration and cooperation
- Perform other duties as needed

**Qualifications**

**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years experience in project controls work on engineering and construction projects, including planning, estimating, forecasting, scheduling, cost control, schedule control, and project reports
- Previous transit project experience
- Strong decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple long
- and short-term tasks simultaneously
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Degree in Construction or Engineering
- certifications (one or more): PSP, PMP, PE, CM, EVP, PMI-SP, CST
- Ability to interpret construction schedules
