Product Wiring Assembler

Armstrong is continuously growing, and we are looking for an Afternoon Shift Product Wiring Assembler who will be responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations as part of our product manufacturing. As a Product Wiring Assembler, you will be responsible for mounting and wiring variable speed frequency (VFD) drives to electrical motors while ensuring quality, reporting defects, and following all health and safety regulations.
**The key accountabilities of this position are**:
- Mount drives to electric motors
- Produce wiring loom consisting of preparing electrical wires and conduit
- Wiring the motor to the drive
- Performing electrical testing of the drive and motor
- All other duties as may be assigned.
**Role requirements**:
- Knowledge and experience of wiring electrical components and electrical connections
- Knowledge and experience of wire and cable sizes for different size powers.
- Knowledge and experience of performing electrical testing including high potential (hi pot) tests on electrical components such as motors.
- Mechanical assembly
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment and following procedures and work instructions.
- Experience in using jib cranes and associated lifting gear is required. Training certifications will be administered by the Company on a regular basis
- Familiar with quality control and assurance practices such as being able to complete inspection check sheets and raise non-conformance tickets. Having previously worked in factories that have ISO9001 accreditation beneficial.

Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
