Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations for Rural Acute Care, the Site Administrator for Killam Health Centre and Our Lady of the Rosary Hospital will focus on critical aspects of care and service, including: people and teams, access and flow, quality and safety, and service and financial efficiencies. The Site Administrator is responsible for working closely with staff and site physician partners to set clinical direction, championing quality improvement and patient safety, and monitoring performance and trends to drive continuous improvement. Will provide leadership in collaboration with facility integrated services, primary health care partners and organizational colleagues. The site administrator will manage all financial, human and physical resources of the facility, overseeing key performance indicators and resolving operational issues at the unit, program, and site level. The Site Administrator will serve as the first point of contact for the Community Board and support the local Foundation Board by attending events and local fundraising initiatives. Other responsibilities will include engaging local community leaders and attending community events, informing and working closely with local area officials, Mayors, City Councilors, Reeves, MD Councilors and MLAs, and collaborating with other departments to ensure site integrity. The Site Administrator engages in physician recruitment and retention and supports replacement physicians (locums); as well as works collaboratively with portfolio colleagues, including participating in the rural acute care on-call schedule. As the face of the organization in the community served, the Site Administrator will uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of Covenant Health in all aspects of the role, ensuring a focus on the strategic direction and priorities of the organization.

**Required Qualifications**:
A baccalaureate degree in a health care discipline or business/administration, supplemented with a minimum of four (4) years progressive health care management experience in a multi-union environment is required. Current or recent management in acute care. Active registration with a professional college or association (as applicable). Travel is required, and may include the use of a personal vehicle. A standard driver’s abstract will also be required for use of corporate lease vehicles.

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Demonstrated experience in management, program leadership, problem solving, group facilitation, operational and strategic planning and quality improvement. Experience at a senior level in health care administration in rural acute care. Experience in financial accountability. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with computer literacy. Ability to respond in an innovative way to the evolving nature of health care. Strong organizational, change management and conflict resolution skills, with ability to function as a team member to achieve shared goals. Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning within own leadership and with staff.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
A Master’s degree is an asset. Experience with Connect Care preferred.
