**Description:
- Base + Comm- This role partners directly with advisors who seek to optimize or monetize all or part of their book because of them wanting to:
- Exit the business with no pre-determined succession plan
- Refocus on target client segments to fortify their business
- Mitigate risk by divesting from various product lines because of changing regulatory obligations
- In conjunction with field management and business solutions consultants, the Manager, Advisor Partnerships works with these entrepreneurs to develop strategies and plans to address options for monetizing their book.- The main goal for the development director is to ensure that- the advisor is educated on all the options Canada Life has available to them when the topic of selling is discussed; and
- ensure that the book acquisition transaction is executed seamlessly from not only an advisor experience but also a client experience perspective.

**What you will do**
- Identify and execute on potential leads for acquiring books. Develop and maintain this pipeline of leads by fostering relationships with advisors, field managers and our business consulting group
- Ensure transactions are executed seamlessly by interfacing with book acquisition staff throughout the process
- Sales, marketing and education around the acquisition program. Being at the table for when advisors need to understand their options for selling all or part of their practice
- Partner with FSC to accelerate objectives. Coordinate strategies to optimize acquisitions in target areas

**What you will bring**
- 10+ years of experience associated with the role
- Specialized Knowledge/Experience: Previous Entrepreneur (owned their own businesses); previous business consulting experience in any field; previous financial modelling / Merger and Acquisition experience; experience in working with tenured advisors and understanding of succession needs of advisors; Experience in helping advisors build their business (grow or knowledge about book value/target client markets; knowledge of advisor compliance requirements

**Salary Range**:

- Minimum: $78,600- Maximum: $137,900- The base salary for this position is between **$minimum****:

- $ maximum** annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
