**How You'll Perform the Role**
Primarily responsible for the effective operation of the designated warehouse, including shipping and receiving, inventory control and replenishment, regular transportation coordination, and related administration.
- Provide the leadership for the efficient, accurate, and cost-effective operation of the receiving, storage, retrieval, order preparation, and shipping functions.
- Meet warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing productive, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements.
- Meet warehouse financial standards by providing weekly estimates, monthly reviews, and annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
- Accomplish warehouse human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and progressively disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job contributions.
- Manage the warehouse activities, including shipping and receiving, material transfers to and from production, inventory control, and stock rotation.
- Support and maintain the established quality standards.
- Ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with OH&S and Company policies and procedures.
- Administer collective agreements and Company policies and procedures.
- Monitor and maintain key performance indicators and cost performance measurements.
- Continuously seek out and capitalize on opportunities to improve all aspects of operations and services provided to customers.
- Develop initiatives to promote productivity gains, reductions of cost, and new methods of doing business.
- Other duties as may be assigned.

**What We Need From You**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in operations management, business, transportation, logistics, or warehousing is an asset.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- 5 - 7 years of management experience in a unionized, mid to large warehousing or distribution environment.
- Full understanding of inventory management techniques and their impact on the business.
- Strong leadership, effective communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Deadline-oriented, detailed, and organized with exceptional analytical skills.
- Able to cultivate a positive and innovative work environment.
- Must be highly motivated to provide superior service to our customers
- High level of self-motivation with the ability to take initiative.
