**About the Role**:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with progressively responsible experience in recreation programming to join our team. As the **Wellness and Program Supervisor**, reporting to the Manager, Recreation, you will be responsible for the overall operations, leadership and supervision of staff and volunteers for dryland recreation program areas including preschool, children, youth, adult, and senior programming, internal recreation special events, day and summer camps, and Aquatic Wellness Centre (AWC) community partnerships. You will be an integral part of the Community Services Supervisory team.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for overall leadership and coordination of the Fitness Centre and land-based recreation program areas for the municipality including planning, delivery and supervision of programs and services to the community through staff and volunteers.
- Responsible for delivering inclusive, accessible, efficient, and welcoming customer service.
- Facilitate the coordination of various Recreation Division internal special events through event planning and delivery, budget management and report preparation, recommendations, and evaluation.
- Develop and execute a strategic marketing plan in coordination with the Manager and Corporate Communications, to maximize revenue generation for the recreation programs area, as well as a strategic public relations and event plan that engage the community.
- Maintain awareness of best practices and industry standards in other communities to ensure increased revenue through program development and attend regular regional and provincial meetings/conferences to ensure the Town of Saugeen Shores is meeting industry standards in the areas of municipal recreation programming.
- Build relationships with internal and external customers and community organizations, agencies and partners to ensure smooth delivery of programs and services.
- Supervise assigned staff and volunteers including scheduling of work, staff/volunteer training/development, new-hire orientation, health & safety and other regulatory compliance, performance management/review, coaching/mentoring, timesheet review and overtime/vacation authorization.
- Administer and manage Recreation Division software systems, including orientation, staff training and optimization of systems.
- Develop and implement annual and seasonal work plans with staff.
- Make recommendations to the Manager regarding staffing levels, organizational structure changes and coordination and assignment of new services initiatives.
- Manage Recreation Division related lease agreements.
- Assist Manager in preparing annual capital and operating budgets by recommending and preparing reports as required, supplying information on, and recommending the purchase or replacement of equipment, repairs or improvements to equipment, and changes or improvements to methods, procedures or policies.
- Assist with customer service as required including responding to in-person and telephone inquiries, provide information, register participants for programs and resolve problems.
