**You will**
- Lead the insurance management process for Anthem’s complete portfolio of income producing and development properties across North America
- Act as a single point of contact between insurance brokers and our internal team
- Establish and maintain overall insurance guidelines and policies for the company, as well as tools and documents to house insurance-related data and information
- Coordinate with internal teams to bring together all information required for the placement and renewal of insurance
- Work closely with external advisors/brokers and internal real estate teams to evaluate and determine insured values for insurance placement
- Review insurance coverage proposals and negotiate with insurers/broker to obtain the necessary coverage on the best terms
- Co-ordinate and review insurance certificates from the brokers for accuracy and to ensure compliance with insurance requirements
- Identify and facilitate opportunities for improved risk management practices
- Review contracts and agreements with broker to ensure compliance with insurance requirements and to ensure indemnity language is acceptable
- Co-ordinate and liaise with claims adjusters towards claim settlement and payment receipt, and subrogation of claims
- Provide insights and information to internal teams as required on all insurance matters including coverages, limits
- Assist with internal review of insurance certificates provided by trades, consultants, and tenants to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance

**You have**
- Professional risk and insurance management qualifications
- A designation such as Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) or Certificate of Risk Management (CRM)
- A post-secondary degree or diploma
- An understanding of insurance policies, coverages and dynamics of the market
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Diligence and attention to detail
- The ability to multi-task and problem-solve effectively
- Proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, and intermediate to advanced Excel spreadsheet skills (an asset)
