Cook/station Chef

Abbotsford, Canada Restaurant 62 Full time

Cook/Station Chef responsible for overseeing the preparation and execution of food orders at a farm-to-table restaurant. This position requires a strong understanding of local and seasonal ingredients, as well as a passion for cooking and creating dishes from scratch. The Station Chef will work closely with the o to ensure that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards and in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the preparation and execution of food orders for their assigned station
- Work closely with the head chef and other chefs to maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Ensure that all food is properly labeled, dated, and stored in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while working in a high-pressure environment

**Requirements**:

- At least 2 years of experience as a line cook or station chef in a high-volume restaurant
- Strong knowledge of local and seasonal ingredients
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Education and Training:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred

Physical Demands:

- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a hot and noisy environment

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekend availability

Work Location: In person
