Under the guidance of the Director of Health and Social Development the Program Manager of Families and Wellness is responsible for overseeing services provided by the A:yelexw Center for Hope and Healing Stabilization Home, Family Home, family development, counseling services, and the establishment of Child Protection jurisdiction as well as the Sexual Violence programs. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the delivery of high-quality support to clients while adhering to the organization's service framework, which aligns with Seabird Island's philosophies, policies, objectives, and follows the Community Care Facility Act regulations.

The Program Manager is responsible for ensuring that each clients receives exceptional services, care, and support in line with our best practices and cultural beliefs. They will strive to enhance the effectiveness of Families and Wellness programs and the overall quality of service delivery. This entails conducting outreach activities to promote awareness of our programs and services, as well as implementing improvements to better meet the needs of the community. The Manager will also focus on enhancing the Child Protection and Sexual Violence programs to ensure they effectively serve and engage the community.

**WHAT YOU'LL DO**

**Management and leadership**
- Coordinate a multidisciplinary team to include Supervisors, Counsellors, Family Development team, Child Protection and other stakeholders on a regular basis to address needs to support the needs of individuals in the program.
- Provide overall leadership to the Families and Wellness program, including Management of direct reports:

- work planning, scheduling, payroll processing and assessment of staffing need.
- hiring/promotion, staff development, coaching/mentoring and conducting performance management reviews
- conflict resolution, discipline, and termination recommendations.
- authorizing leaves of absence.
- ensure all Families and Wellness program employees are actively charting in Mustimuhw
- are aware of their duty to report, duty of care, boundaries, conflicts of interest, and working relationships with vulnerable individuals and families;
- evaluating the work of staff and volunteers to ensure that programs are of appropriate quality and that resources are used effectively; and
- promoting shared team goals and collaboration among members.
- Prepare business plans, annual operating and capital budgets pertaining to Families and Wellness program in consultation with the Director.
