**Summary of the Role**:
Purity Life Health Products has a job opportunity for a **Category Specialist **- **Personal & Body Care **responsible for managing all vendor interactions to maximize category insight across a diverse portfolio of Purity’s distributed brands/vendors. Through informed analysis and industry knowledge this role also works closely with various internal teams to provide recommendations in the brand selection process.

As the first and primary point of contact for distributed brands, your **duties and responsibilities**

include:

- Fostering relationships across a diverse portfolio of vendors and brokers, each requiring different levels of attention and creativity
- Leveraging a growing knowledge of market trends, data, and both internal and external feedback to provide recommendations and opportunities for new business that aligns with Purity Life's overarching strategic vision
- Supporting various stakeholders across the organization in the brand selection process by

identifying new product opportunities and customer segments, as well as providing on-going analysis for a growing portfolio of brands to ensure continuous business growth
- Maintaining a current knowledge of natural personal and body care requirements
- Participating in the execution of new contract negotiations
- Researching industry, consumer and category trends and utilizing feedback from internal and external resources, translating those insights into actionable strategic business

recommendations
- Proactively communicating to relevant internal teams all matters relating to new products, promotion opportunities, and insights on any challenges, such as shortages, or other obstacles which could disrupt normal business operations
- Supporting the day-to-day activities of the vendors and brokers listed in your assigned portfolio, including but not limited to:

- Navigating the Purity Life Information Centre (PLIC) portal
- Assisting with new line/product listings processes
- The distribution and understanding of various reports
- Proactively source seasonal listings and pre-book opportunities
- Coordinating trade show deal activity
- Some travel for events may be required
- Other duties as required

**Job Requirements**:

- Degree, diploma or certification with three years of experience in a related industry
- Advanced knowledge of all Office 365 tools
- Capable of analysing and summarizing large data sets, including sales figures, market trends and other various performance indicators
- Knowledge and familiarity of the Natural Health industry
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands and able to respond quickly in a fast-paced environment
- High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse, team environment
- Some level of education in the French language considered an asset
