Reporting to the Project Manager for the Wasakama: Make a Circle project, this position is responsible for assisting with research of the Wasakama: Make a Circle project that will culminate in them producing a final report.

**Duties and Qualifications**:
Applicants may be a Master’s student of the University of Regina, with preference given to students with experience in health programs at FNUniv.

The Research Assistant will:

- Assist with research and conduct a literature review on Indigenous language immersion programs,
- Support project organization and administration,
- Conduct data analysis that will culminate in a final report,
- Be present and document the community gatherings and consultations from October 2023 to March 2024
- Have strong communication skills and ability to work independently,
- Maintain and track data using a variety of computer programs, and
- Be comfortable with a variety of computer programs (word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

**Qualifications**:

- Master’s degree is preferred.
- One-year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- **Previous experience with jurisdictional and literature reviews, translation and interpretation, and language teaching techniques. **Knowledge of Indigenous healthcare is a definite asset.

Hourly Rate of Pay: $25.00/hr
