**Summary**:
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive individual to fill the role of Junior Production Planner in our frozen fruit and vegetable processing facility. Junior Production Planner will assist in coordinating and scheduling production activities to meet customer demands while optimizing inventory levels and minimizing costs.

**Responsibilities**
The Junior Production Planner will be responsible for coordinating production activities specifically tailored to the food industry, ensuring efficient utilization of resources while meeting customer demand and quality standards.
- Production Scheduling:
Assist in creating and maintaining production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products while maximizing efficiency and minimizing downtime. Support the Production Planner in maintaining production schedules for processing lines, taking into account factors such as seasonal availability, shelf-life, and customer demand fluctuations.
- Inventory:
Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods to support production schedules and minimize excess inventory. Support Production Planner in implementing strategies to minimize excess inventory while ensuring sufficient stock to meet production requirements. Identify and resolve problems relating to inventory.
- Seasonal Demand Forecasting:
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to forecast demand for frozen fruit and vegetable products, adjusting production schedules and inventory levels accordingly to align with seasonal variations. Forecast market challenges based on competitor analysis and industry trends.
- Communication:
Maintain open communication with production teams, warehouse, procurement, and other relevant departments to ensure alignment of production schedules with supply chain activities.
- Supplier Coordination:
Coordinate with suppliers of raw materials, including fruit and vegetable growers and packaging suppliers, to ensure timely delivery of high-quality ingredients and packaging materials to support production schedules.
- Quality Assurance:
Work closely with quality control team to ensure that production schedules adhere to strict quality and food safety standards, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Process Optimization:
Identify opportunities for process improvements in production planning and execution to enhance efficiency and reduce costs, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Data Analysis:
Analyze production data, including yield, downtime, and production output, to identify trends and opportunities for optimization.
- Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate documentation of production schedules, inventory levels, and quality control records, generating reports as needed to track performance and support decision-making processes.
- Transfers: Coordinate transfers with 3PLS and enter all info into JF and Accelos.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in food science, agricultural business, supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
- 2-4 years previous experience in production planning within the food industry, preferably in frozen food processing or packaging industry.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality standards, with experience implementing quality assurance protocols.
- Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bilingual French and English (to serve our internal and external customers).
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of seasonal variations and supply chain dynamics within the frozen fruit and vegetable industry is a plus.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
