**Summary**:
Godson Elementary has a population of approximately 350 students from Kindergarten to Grade 5. The mission of Godson Elementary is to inspire our students to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential for participation in a changing society by creating a safe and challenging learning environment. Students come to us with a variety of exceptionalities and various levels of need. A Social Emotional Learning (SEL) focus and experience with PBIS (positive behaviour support), Zones of Regulation, Mind Up, SEL Kernels to support success.

The 2023/2024 composition of this class is grade 1 and grade 2 students; the grade composition for the 2023/2024 school year is not currently known.

**Education & Experience**:

- Elementary teacher training with major practicum/work experience at the Primary and Intermediate levels
- Successful teaching experience at the Primary and Intermediate levels
- Successfully complete and maintain non-violent crisis intervention certification
- Eligible for B.C. Certification
- Satisfactory teacher evaluation and/or final practicum reports

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:

- Ability to demonstrate thorough knowledge of the Primary and Intermediate program
- Ability to demonstrate thorough knowledge and recent experience with a balanced literacy program
