- Food Handler, First Aid Certification & WHMIS is preferred
- Minimum one year professional cooking experience in commercial food preparation or related role
- Minimum of five (5) years food preparation experience, required
- Minimum 3 years cooking experience in at least two different kitchen sections garde manger, banquets, a la carte, breakfast
- Assists Chef & Sous Chef with menu ordering, inventory, and daily production planning
- Preparation and production of menu items
- Quality food preparation and cooking
- Help in dish station as needed
- Assures sanitary standards are upheld by delegating these duties amongst cooks helpers and porters
- Maintains open communication and good relationships with others
- Attends meetings and in-services for food production employees
- Oversees preparation of all foods
- Prepare daily production
- Ability to weigh/scale, cut, shape
- Physically able to stand for long periods of time
- Physically able to lift +50lbs
- Keeping a clean, organized and sanitary workspace at all times
- Proper storage and rotation of all products
- Able to read and follow recipes
- Prepares food products to meet temperature and quality standards
- Assemble food within appropriate time frames
- Handle and prepare food in safe manner following HACCP standardized operating procedures
- Document temperatures of food items and makes appropriate adjustments to achieve standards
- Sanitizes equipment and work area per assigned schedules and designated procedure
- Takes responsibility for self and others in work area

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 3 months
Part-time hours: 35 per week

**Salary**: $17.50-$18.00 per hour
