**Role description**:
The People and Culture Advisor is responsible for advising on employment legislation and assisting in compliance with both basic and complex employment law. This role will also be responsible for the development and implementation of policies covering terms and conditions of employment, managing P&C audit cycles, employment counseling, employee assistance programs, and other policies.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develops and implements policies and programs including, but not limited to, employee performance and engagement, corporate policy interpretation, employee immigration, new employee orientation, employee experience and service programs.
- Partners with legal department, where necessary, to effectively manage and resolve conflicts, compliance and sensitive work-related issues.
- Supports the maintenance and development of formal performance management process.
- Supports the employee discharge process, including financial analysis, stakeholder coordination, and documentation.
- Assists with internal investigations and provide coaching and counsel to leads and employees.
- Manages annual P&C-related financial and compliance audit cycles, including internal process and procedure development as needed.
- Assists P&C Leads in developing, interpreting and recommending HR-related program goals and objectives, performance management, policies, procedures and courses of action.
- Keeps up to date on HR changes in laws, regulations and guidelines across North America; work closely with legal team to ensure compliance across the ecosystem
- Creates and maintains, working with other team members, People & Culture Standard Operating Procedures

**Qualifications**:

- Well-rounded expertise, with 3-5 years' experience in Human Resources, Policy Development, HR Compliance, Employee Experience, Organizational Design and/or People Strategy or equivalent
- Experience working with stakeholders across all levels of an organization and across diverse business functions
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a self-managed environment
- Ability to demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
- A love for creating structure and bringing people together
- Experience with US employment legislation is a strong asset
- Experience in leading a team an asset.

**Salary Range**: 85,000-95,000 CAD
