The **Business Segment Director** will lead the strategic direction, growth, and execution of a key business segment. This role is responsible for driving financial success, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, and delivering on execution performance for both new opportunities and existing programs. As a vital member of the STELIA Leadership Team, the Business Segment Director serves as the senior-most leader in Program Management and Business Development for the segment, playing a pivotal role in shaping its success and aligning it with our organizational goals.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Program Delivery
- Accountable leader for segment financial (orders, revenue, profit and cash) and customer delivery performance, and proactive operational and commercial coordination.
- Leader of business segment team, assuring action identification, planning and completion as determined through Program Reviews and other meetings.
- Responsible for early identification and driving hard to eliminate program risks and performance degradations.
- Typically, program manager for 1-2 (often complex or early-phase) programs in portfolio.
- Responsible for effective and timely internal and external program communications.
- Customer Service and Business Development
- Responsible for Business Segment strategy, aligned within overall STELIA strategy.
- Leader of segment customer interfaces and relationships.
- Responsible for development of business / competitor intelligence.
- Responsible for new opportunity identification, capture strategy and bid / quote execution (supported by Program Manager).
- Accountable for Business Segment revenue growth including in-year and FlightPlan (5y) sales.
- Typically lead negotiator for new contracts, contract changes, or specific issue resolution.
- Continuous Improvement
- Accountable for formal recommendation and planning of program segment improvement requirements and initiatives.
- Accountable for recommending and directing program cost re-baselining and program remediation initiatives.
- Formal Outputs
- Program Segment Summary (program reviews & executive reporting).
- Sales & New Business Forecasts (in-year and 5y).
- Revenue and Profit O&R.
- Specific-capture formal Gate documentation.

**You have**:

- Post-secondary education in Business or an Engineering / Technical discipline.
- Extensive experience in Program or Project Management, or related customer-facing activity (planning, scheduling, business pursuit).
- Proven leadership abilities and desire to foster a culture of collaboration and high performance.
- Experience in negotiation and management of complex commercial requirements.
- Experience in aerospace or manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Senior Customer-facing experience is preferred.
- Advanced financial / analytical acumen is necessary for this position.
- Excellent communication skills are mandatory for this position.
- Ability to collaborate and influence across multiple functional areas is essential.
- Ability to summarize issues concisely and communicate with all levels in the organization.
- Ability to read, write and speak French language considered an asset.
- Experience with ERP environment
- Ability to manage multiple programs/customers in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
