**Key Responsibilities**:

- Produce accurate and timely wages to all employees; provide payroll information to employees, Management and Government Agencies.
- Reconcile number of employees and hours input from Time and Attendance System (Enterprise Time) into the Payroll System (ADP WorkForceNow)
- Transmit payroll at appointed day and time to Payroll System service in order to receive timely pay cheques/direct deposits by appointed day
- Advise Finance Department of total payroll cost for wire transfer of funds to payroll account.
- Review Payroll Register received from Payroll System Service.
- Prepare weekly analysis/graphs of payroll costs for Management, and reports for Human Resources as requested (e.g. seniority, personnel).
- Prepare weekly payroll cost allocation for the Accounting Department.
- Update Employee Master File, Time Clock System and HRIS (Workday).
- Accumulate data for yearly-deferred profit sharing payment, update RRSP accounts and process vacation pay once per year to all eligible employees.
- Complete employee referral letters, Record of Employment, and assist in completion of any documentation as requested. Review all requests from external parties for information regarding any employee of Co-Ex-Tec.
- Monitor and pay garnishees.
- Analyse on an annual basis, all taxes paid, W.C.B., and Employers’ Health Tax.
- Help employees resolve payroll and benefit concerns. Interact with care and respect.
- Process additions, deletions and changes in benefit system. Ensure that required payroll adjustments are made in a timely manner. Prepare and submit insurance premium report to accounting in a timely manner.

**Key Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Secondary School Diploma, or equivalent
- Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma, preferred; with excellent aptitude for figures
- Minimum 3 years payroll experience
- 1-3 years’ experience using ADP WorkForceNow
- Sound computer skills, including knowledge of software in current use
- Superior organizational and prioritizing abilities
- Well-developed communication, organizational, interpersonal and analytical abilities
- Working knowledge of Payroll System / Time & Attendance System
