Our Big Molly site near Glenevis (40 minutes northwest of Spruce Grove) is our regional Sand Processing Facility where we mine, wash and dry frac sand for direct shipment to our customers. We take pride in our product and value our employees while providing a close-knit, local place to work.

**THE OPPORTUNITY**:
The **Wash Plant Control Operator **is responsible for running the wash plant and its accessories efficiently and with mínimal non-production time, while maximizing storage space and drainage. The Wash Plant Operator works collaboratively with the Quarry Pump Tech to maintain consistent production and water levels

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Responsible for leading and participating in performing plant operations, switching operations, material handling, and general site maintenance and repair
- Safe and efficient start up, operation, and shut down of the conveyor systems and wash plant
- Communicate with quarry operator to coordinate safe and efficient start up and shut down of system, communicate with Lead to ensure the quality of product meets company standards
- Develop knowledge of software used to run the wash plant and accessories
- Understanding of entire Wash Plant operations, including stockpile management and water management/drainage
- Conduct scheduled pre-use and operational checks on all equipment during shift to ensure it is running Safely and properly
- Follow all Wayfinder Corp. and OHS safety policies, complete Pre-job hazard assessments, reviewing with team members at the start of every shift: report any safety hazards or unsafe work practices

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Full Class 5 Drivers (Non-GDL) with a clean abstract
- Applicants with relevant / similar process experience will be prioritized: Frac Sand, Telebelt Experience, Aggregate / Fertilizer Plant etc.
- Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of pumps, pipelines, and water management a significant asset
- Basic computer skills required, attention to detail with regular reporting
- Accountability, strong organizational, versatility, strong communication skills
- Must be able to work in physically demanding environments

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
