We currently have a career opportunity for a Full-time, permanent Field Technician. Technicians have the key responsibility to execute their daily work orders. These duties include troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and repair to customer or Point to Point Communications radio frequency and wireless broadband communications equipment.

**Job Functions**:

- Install, evaluate, test, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair to mobile radios, fixed radios, and wireless communications equipment in accordance with the execution of daily work orders and consistent with manufacturer and company guidelines.
- Performs radio configuration and programming.
- Performs installation of infrastructure equipment on towers of varying heights in accordance with working at heights training certification, regulations, and guidelines.
- Completes work order resolutions in a timely manner and ensures accuracy of all information provided within them.
- Participates in the on-call rotation to provide after-hours customer support.
- Operates company vehicles in a respectful and safe manner following all road and highway regulations.
- Complies and follows all Federal, company, and customer health and safety regulations and requirements while working on job sites.
- Maintains positive customer relations.
- Establishes and maintains positive and professional working relationships with co-workers and managers.
- Completes required training to enhance product knowledge and continually improve technical skills.
- Reads technical journals and manuals, attends seminars and appropriate professional development workshops to learn about job related equipment.

**Experience Requirements**:

- 2-3 years of relevant work experience as a Radio Technician, Field Service Technician, Telecommunications Engineer, or equivalent role.
- Valid Ontario Class G driver license with clean driver abstract
- Excellent English communication skills both written and oral.
- Must pass Level 4 OPP criminal record check.
- Must be comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
- Participate in the on-call rotation.

**Additional Requirements**:

- Hands on experience working with Motorola conventional, trunking, and P25 radio systems.
- Experience working with Motorola portable and mobile radio equipment including basic diagnostic and radio programming skills.
- Experience installing radio and communications related equipment on light and heavy-duty vehicles.
- Experience with networked Access Control and Camera systems.
- Strong networking and IT experience considered extremely valuable.
- Knowledge of hand and power tools, test equipment, and design/fabrication techniques.

**Ability to commute/relocate**:
Must reside in Simcoe County

LMIA permit available for foreign workers, open to applicants with the required skills from outside of Canada.
