**The Opportunity**:
The Lead, Knowledge Mobilization, will play a crucial role in advancing pediatric pain management at IWK Health and across the Atlantic Region. Working under the supervision of Dr. Christine Chambers, and based in the Centre for Pediatric Pain Research, the Lead, Knowledge Mobilization will engage in activities to bridge the gap between research and practice and policy, ensuring the effective implementation of evidence-based strategies in pediatric pain management.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Knowledge Mobilization:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive knowledge mobilization strategy to improve pediatric pain management practices at IWK Health and throughout the Atlantic Region.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with the new national health standard on pediatric pain management.
- Identify, assess, and compile the latest research evidence and best practices related to children's pain management.
- Translate complex research findings into accessible and actionable information for healthcare providers and decision-makers.
- Develop knowledge products such as summaries, guidelines, and educational materials to disseminate research findings.

2. Collaboration and Partnerships:

- Build and maintain relationships with researchers, healthcare providers, policymakers, community organizations, and patients and caregivers in the field of pediatric pain management.
- Facilitate knowledge exchange and collaboration with various departments, groups, and individuals within IWK Health to foster collaboration and integration of best practices in pediatric pain management.

3. National Health Standard Implementation:

- Ensure that all knowledge mobilization activities align with and support the implementation of the new national health standard on pediatric pain management (see SKIP).
- Monitor and track progress towards meeting the standard and recommend adjustments as needed.

4. Capacity Building:

- Organize training sessions, workshops, and seminars to help healthcare providers and staff integrate evidence-based practices into their work.
- Assist in the development and implementation of educational resources and training programs.
- Provide ongoing support and resources to enable the implementation of evidence-based practices.

5. Advocacy and Policy Support:

- Engage in advocacy efforts to promote policy changes that support improved pediatric pain management.
- Provide evidence and information to policymakers and others to influence decision-making.

6. Grant-Funded Research Support:

- Dedicate a portion of time to leading knowledge mobilization activities in support of Dr. Christine Chambers' grant-funded research program in children’s pain.
- Facilitate engagement with and dissemination of research findings to relevant stakeholders and communities, including patients and caregivers.

7. Communication and Dissemination:

- Support development of and collaborate in managing communication channels, such as websites, social media, and newsletters, to share knowledge and updates in the field.

8. Monitoring and Evaluation:

- Assess the impact of knowledge mobilization efforts by collecting and analyzing data on the adoption of evidence-based practices.
- Continuously evaluate and refine strategies for knowledge mobilization.

**Hours of Work**:
Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours week; some evenings or weekend may be required

**Your Qualifications**:

- Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., health sciences, knowledge translation).
- Proven experience in knowledge mobilization or a related field, preferably in healthcare settings.
- Strong understanding of pediatric pain management and familiarity with national health standards.
