**The Saskatchewan Rivers Public School Division is seeking a dynamic professional person to join our senior management team as
Manager of Computer Services. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this senior leadership position will lead the
school division’s Information Technology (IT) initiatives, ensuring effective delivery of tier 1 and tier 2 support services, managing
server and networking services, while driving continuous improvement efforts for the entire school division.
The Manager of Computer Services will oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of a wide array of IT resource
functions including, but not limited to:
- Accountable to set the overall strategic vision and direction of the Technology Services department and provide leadership
to achieve the business goals and objectives of the Board
- Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with Saskatchewan Rivers Public School Division’s
goals and objectives
- Lead the planning, implementation, and maintenance of all technology infrastructure and systems, including hardware,
software, and networking components.
- Provide visionary leadership on emerging technologies and trends, exploring innovative solutions to enhance teaching,
learning, and administrative processes.
- Proactively pursue continuous improvement and seek out innovative practices for service delivery.
- Ensure a supportive, productive and empowering work environment.
- Responsible to balance customer service expectations while guarding the security of the Corporation’s technology assets.
- Collaborate with corporate stakeholders to develop IT strategies that support each area to meet both current and future
needs
- Develop and enforce robust cyber security protocols to protect our district's digital assets, data, and infrastructure from
internal and external threats.
- Establish policies and procedures to ensure compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., LAFOIP), safeguarding sensitive
information related to students, staff, and stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the technology department, promoting innovation, collaboration, and
professional development opportunities.
- Lead the management and optimization of server and networking infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and
performance.
- Ability to fulfill any and all other duties as outlined in the job description***
Qualifications and competencies for this position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other related discipline, with a preference for a Master’s
degree
- Proven experience of a minimum of five years in a leadership role overseeing technology operations, preferably in an
educational or public sector environment
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, server administration, and VoIP telephony
systems
- Demonstrated understanding of cyber security principles, privacy regulations, and data protection frameworks
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to inspire others and enable change
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in managing and leading IT support teams
- Familiarity with educational technology platforms, learning management systems, and student information systems (SIS) is
