**Position Overview**

The Service Center Distribution Manager oversees and coordinates the receipt, storage and shipping activities at the Paint Shop Service Center. In this capacity, the position is responsible for supervising all Service Center personnel, making certain all dispatch, shipping, receiving, storage and distribution activities are performed in a safe and efficient manner, and ensuring the building condition and all equipment is maintained in good operating order. The Service Center Distribution Manager also does a considerable amount of hands-on work in addition to managerial duties.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manages all day-to-day receipt, storage, and shipment activities within the Service Center, ensuring all such activities are performed efficiently and effectively.
- Plans and supervises Service Center workflow including any related administrative and documentation processes.
- Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning tasks to employees and following up on work results.
- Establishes and maintains good relationships with staff by recruiting, coaching, counseling and disciplining employees.
- Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and existing customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
- Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing program, operational and personnel policies and procedures.
- Manages and plans the arrangement of goods within the Service Center, including supervising, organizing, arranging and rearranging items in an orderly fashion to proper designated storage areas.
- Monitors inventory levels and accuracy by conducting physical cycle counts and reconciliations to check and verify instock and materials on hand.
- Develops, implements, supports and monitors safety policies, procedures and standards ensuring workplace health and safety requirements are met.
- Oversees maintenance of the building, machinery and all equipment ensuring everything is in good operating condition.

**Qualifications**:

- Undergraduate Diploma or Degree, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field
- Five years’ experience in a Service Center operations/Retail Management role
- Two years’ experience in a Service Center supervisory/management role
- Knowledge and familiarity with modern Service Center and inventory practices
- Training and certification in forklift/Service Center machinery and safety practices - employer will provide training as needed
- Working knowledge and experience with Service Center inventory management software
- Working knowledge of MS Office
