- Work directly with external web vendors and clients throughout the City of Edmonton to clearly understand project specifications, objectives, deliverables and timelines
- Identify required skill sets for products and create project teams, as required, which may consist of Digital team members, staff from other
- Departments and external vendors
- Provide digital product expertise and solution delivery during all phases of digital design projects, including research, feasibility, structure design and development, testing, technology advancement, implementation and maintenance
- Develop and encourage practices that improve the quality of digital information
- Provide expertise related to technology investments and the review and assessment of new technology
- Act as project manager for unit projects, such as CMS upgrades, development of training manuals for dissemination to business units, etc.
- Administer and maintain the tools and technology used by Digital Services
- Contribute to the defining of performance measures for the unit and lead the performance measure reporting, dashboards, and analysis for the unit
- Oversee the City’s digital analytics to track and report volumes, traffic patterns and usage trends
- Create and implement standard documentation, user manuals and processes to be used by business units across the City
- Oversee the development and delivery of web related training for staff and business units, including training on the CMS, training for new technology, training on the use of Google Analytics
- Lead and/or facilitate regular program meetings to gather input and information from across the corporation and citizens to understand the end users needs
- Participate in cross-functional corporate teams to influence and provide advisement about digital tools and spaces
- Oversee the recommendation of new digital products
- Oversee and implement new features on the City’s websites that meet business requirements across the corporation, and end user needs
- Perform other related duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related
discipline
- Four (4) years experience in the digital and web environment including development experience with Drupal and WordPress
Experience supervising staff
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing content strategies which includes content creation, organization, distribution and governance
- Strong problem-solving skills and broad knowledge of web development techniques and principles
- Strong working experience with version/source control, Git or equivalent
- Experience working with and the configuration of CI/CD pipelines
- Demonstrated experience in web content development, including content strategy, information architecture, writing for the web, user experience best practices, and search engine optimization (SEO).
- Proficiencent in UX design principles and methodologies.
- Strong technical knowledge and competency in web authoring tools and design software
- Demonstrate service excellence, embracing diversity and promoting inclusiveness
