Asphalt Technician

**Job Overview**:
Brantco Asphalt & Materials Limited is recruiting for an Asphalt Technician to join our team.

This is seasonal position based on construction season.

**Key Responsibilites**:

- Travel to various job sites and sample asphalt on a daily base with company provided truck.
- Sample asphalt with plate / shovel / quarter master methods and able to carry 20-30 lbs asphalt samples.
- Record field worksheet.
- Deliver samples from job site to asphalt lab.
- Work in a laboratory setting.
- Various asphalt testing method.

**Role Requirements**:

- Well organized, motivated, and able to carry out assignments with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong report writing skills and verbal communication.
- CCIL Certification is an asset.
- College Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology an asset.
- Knowledge of various test procedures for Marshall and Superpave testing methods an asset.
- Previous experience working as a geotechnical technician an asset.
- Occasional weekend work.
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract.
