**About us**

Freightx is a growing transportation and logistics service provider based out of Brampton, ON. We are looking to onboard 1 new accounting clerk to assist with day to day bookkeeping and invoice processing duties.

Job Description: Accounting Clerk

**Duties**:

- Perform accounts payable and receivable functions, including processing invoices, verifying accuracy, and ensuring timely payments.
- Conduct data entry tasks to input financial transactions into the accounting system.
- Assist with account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Participate in budgeting activities by providing support in gathering and analyzing financial data.
- Perform account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve any issues.
- Support the accounting team with various clerical tasks as needed.
- Utilize double-entry bookkeeping principles to maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist with general ledger accounting to ensure proper recording of transactions.
- Collaborate with other departments and financial services to provide necessary information and support.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as an accounting clerk or similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles and general ledger accounting.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical skills for account analysis and problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

**Experience**:

- Accounts receivable: 1 year (preferred)
- Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)
