We are currently seeking a full time **Cost Analyst **to join our team, based out of our **Milton, Ontario head office.**

**Costing**:

- Work closely with the manufacturing/value added department team, to obtain inputs into the cost models and to review and analyze standard costs and bills of materials for completeness and accuracy
- Analyze monthly actual costs to ensure standards are in line
- Analyze data and develops reporting for management use as appropriate.
- Review and analyze various cost trends over time
- Time studies to be performed on a regular basis, on manufactured product
- Be aware of and understand how changes in raw materials costs could affect costs and gross margins.

**Pricing**:

- Analyze costs associated with new products and review if products fit into the business strategy
- Determine customer pricing based on margin guidelines and suggest retail prices based on sales targets
- Update and maintain pricing
- Maintain and recommend product rationalization of current sku's and set-up regular reviews
- Performs other duties as assigned

**What you bring to the Fresh Start Foods Table**:

- Degree/diploma in Accounting or Finance
- Heightened analytical skills and problem solving abilities
- Advanced Excel skills (i.e. pivot tables, Vlookups)
- Detail oriented and strong multi-tasking and time management skills combined with initiative and flexibility.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills combined with the ability to effectively debrief senior management.
- Ability to manage time effectively and compile information in a timely way
- Proven ability to successfully establish and maintain supporting relationships with other departments.
- Ability to work independently and value being part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high volume and changing environment, paired with a "roll up the sleeves" attitude
