**Position**: TFS Shop Assistant

**Position Type**: Occasional, Part time

**Hours of work**: 10-15 hours per week. Monday to Friday, with the possibility of working Saturday when needed.

**Location**: Toronto campus - 306 Lawrence Avenue East, Toronto, Ontario, M4N 1T7

**Number of positions**: 5

**Start & End Dates**: June 5, 2023- June 30, 2023 & August 1- September 29, 2023

**Hourly Rate**: $15,50/hour

**About the position**:
Reporting to the Manager of the TFS Shop, the duties and responsibilities of this position will include the following:

- Provide assistance with merchandise selection in a friendly and knowledgeable manner
- Advise customers on uniform guidelines, size and care of merchandise
- Receive and prepare merchandise to be sold
- Assist in organization of merchandise
- Assist with inventory count
- Process sales transactions and fulfill orders using Shopify (POS system)
- Maintain an organized work environment while processing sales, returns and merchandise in accordance with internal control procedures for optimal inventory control
- May be required to lift heavy objects, climb ladders or stand for an extended period of time

**Who we are looking for**:

- Excellent communication skills in English
- Demonstrate sales ability and willingness to learn new product knowledge
- Retail or customer service experience preferred
- Customer service skills: Respectful, attentive to customer’s needs
- Ability to work well with others in a fast paced environment
- Flexible with working hours and scheduling
- Ability to speak in French and/or Mandarin would be an important asset

**Le poste**:
Sous la supervision de la gérante du magasin de TFS, vous devrez contribuer au bon fonctionnement de celui-ci. Vous devrez entre autres:

- Accueillir les clients au magasin et aider lors de la sélection des marchandises
- Informer les clients sur les conseils d’utilisation et d’entretien des marchandises ainsi que des produits spéciaux
- Recevoir et préparer les marchandises pour les ventes
- Aider à organiser les marchandises
- Aider avec le décompte de l’inventaire
- Faire les transactions et remplir les commandes en utilisant Shopify (POS System)
- Maintenir les documents des ventes ou des commandes en conformité avec les procédures de contrôle interne pour l’inventaire
- Pourrait devoir soulever des choses lourdes, monter les échelles ou se tenir debout pour une certaine période de temps

- Excellentes compétences de communication en anglais
- Démontrer une habileté pour vendre ainsi qu’une bonne connaissance des différents produits
- Expérience dans le commerce de détail ou le service à la clientèle serait appréciée
- Être orienté vers le service à la clientèle : Respect, attentionné aux besoins des clients
- Avoir une bonne capacité pour travailler en équipe dans un environnement à rythme rapide
- Flexibilité au changement du planning des horaires
- Maîtrise du français et/ou du mandarin est un sérieux atout
