** **We are currently looking for Part time staff in our residential homes (8) as well as 1 to 2 overnight full time awake positions. We are also looking for 3 day program full time positions.**

**If you require a work permit it must be a valid open work permit. Unfortunately, we can not take on staff that do not meet this requirement including those with study permits.**

**You must also have a valid class 5 drivers license as driving supported individuals can and will be part of the job.**

Job summary:
You will provide support to adults with disabilities as needed in their home, community and day program settings. Under the direction of your manager, you will encourage and support people to participate in the activities and duties of their home and community, developing and maintaining relationships, and providing care and support in any needed areas of ADL. You will offer guidance to help people develop life skills, independence, and supporting the person to live the life they choose.

**Registry Record Checks**:
A clear criminal record/child abuse and adult abuse registry check are required to be employed.
If you have a current criminal record check, child/adult abuse checks they must be less than 3 month old to be considered valid.

If you do not have these checks they will be required as part of the hiring process and we will provide you with information needed to obtain the checks.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide direct care and support to individuals in various settings
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Administer medications and monitor health conditions as directed by healthcare professionals
- Support individuals on outings or other community settings including driving to and from
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals
- Document and report any changes in individual's condition or behavior to the appropriate supervisor

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in patient care or caregiving preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, hospice care, or other specialized care areas is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals and their families
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week
