**What responsibilities will you have in this role?**

Reporting to, and under the direction of, the Deputy Registrar, New Student Enrolment and Domestic Recruitment, the Manager of Liaison, Recruitment and Entry Advising provides leadership and direction to the domestic recruiting and entry advising teams who represent the college and are often the first point of contact during the most critical exploratory period for prospective students. The manager is responsible for all activities of the teams ensuring that they promote George Brown College programs and services in the best possible light to all prospective students, their representatives, internal college stakeholders and to other post-secondary institutions and organizations in Ontario.
- Manages the development and implementation of recruitment strategies, programs and initiatives designed to align with college and RO (Registrar’s Office) objectives and meet projected applicant/enrolment targets.
- Manages the development and implementation of entry advising opportunities for applicants - particularly non-direct prospects - through one-on-one advising sessions, workshops, and online services.
- Identifies and oversees opportunities to promote the transition of current students to further education at the college through entry advising sessions and workshops.
- Develops and implements an excellence-in-customer-service strategy designed to provide timely, efficient information and advisory services to students, potential students, as well as faculty and staff and relevant key influencers.
- Leads activities using Salesforce automation tools to track prospect leads, develop contact management strategies, and to measure the effectiveness of recruiting activities.
- Contributes to RO business plan and annual budget development; tracks progress and reports on recruitment/advising-related business plan initiatives as a member of the management team.
- Works in collaboration with Deputy Registrar, RO management team, marketing, international recruitment, and academic areas to align domestic recruitment with college business plans, goals, and objectives.
- Ensures a high level of performance through effective recruitment, hiring, training, monitoring and evaluation of all full time/permanent part-time/contract staff involved in college recruitment and entry advising.
- Uses multiple sources of market intelligence including RO reports, OCAS, and Colleges Ontario to analyze and interpret data and monitor directions and changes in the prospective student secondary and non-secondary community.
- Other related duties as assigned.

**What qualifications do you need for this role?**
- Three-year Degree or equivalent from a recognized post-secondary institution in Business, Marketing, Human Resources, Psychology or a field that relates to understanding the principles of influence and engagement.
- Minimum five years’ experience in sales, marketing or recruitment; ideally in a post-secondary education environment.
- Experience developing and managing multi-faceted recruitment and/or direct sales programs, evaluating results and introducing adapting new strategies and tools.
- Proven experience leading and managing staff and mentoring a team to high performance; well-developed supervisory, administrative, leadership performance and change management skills.
- Experience planning and leading activities and events that address a wide audience and that generate excitement and enthusiasm for all stakeholders.
- Proven budget management skills and ability to develop and recommend creative solutions to address fiscal pressures as they arise.
- Experience in the use and development of Salesforce or other CRM.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication, presentation skills.
- Conflict resolution skills and ability to deal tactfully and diplomatically with peers, faculty, staff, and students.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills in a demanding, fast-paced, tech-savvy environment; ability to adjust priorities quickly to ensure time-sensitive deadlines are met.
